It's just a shame. We used to love this place and spent every summer there for many years.

Great location right off the river to the springs going east and west to the gulf. Grounds well kept, pool good and a big dock with 2 big fish cleaning stations. The only issue is its not to big rig friendly. We are a 38ft pusher with 3 slides. All the utility hookups are set up for 5th wheels so after squeezing in, I literally had to get on my hands and knees and slide behind my 1/3 opened doors to deal with my utility hookups. The other option would be pull so far forward my front end would be hanging over the roadway. 4 star location for 5th wheels.

1st time at this campground and really enjoyed it. Staff was great to deal with and seemed to enjoy us being there. Private boat ramp is really nice with not having to deal with the CRAZY's down the road. We were lucky enough to get our own boat slip which made it really nice..There are so many folks here that have bought into this resort and have been there for years. We met and talked to many and all welcomed us there. We had a Great time and are going back very soon. Thanks to Beverly, and Doug for being so nice.
We stayed there for years and always loved it. This past summer will be the last. It was a horrible experience. First after booking a year in advance one family in our group was called a week before they were scheduled to be there and told they didn't have a spot for them. Another family in our group was called 2 weeks before and told they had to now pay a deposit within 24 hrs or lose their reservation they had for a year. We were called 3 times the week before arrival being told our site had moved. The lady running the front desk, Joyce, is clueless. A nice lady, but no clue how to run a computer no less a camping business. Boat slips sat empty for days, but was told they were all taken when we tried getting one. I counted 17 empty slips one evening that stayed empty for days to follow. They only have Ms Clueless in the office 4 hours a day, closed the rest of the time, and closed on the weekends. So good luck getting help with something if you need it. Fireworks were being allowed for the first time ever inside the park. The bathrooms weren't kept up as nice as they used to be. In the entire month our camper was there our site was never mowed.
We went on a spur of the moment trip. Wow! Were we impressed. The woman in the office was super nice and very informative. (And, I only spoke to her on the phone!) The grounds were clean and shady. We had the use of the private boat ramp and slips are also available through the office.Ice machine on site as well as laundry facility, clean restrooms and nice pool next to the water. We will be revisiting this tropical haven!! See You Soon!!!
Maybe owners could reconfigure a couple spots to fit class a's better.
