Best prices, competent staff and excellent service from Florida to Illinois! Office staff quoted price and communicated dates while flexible to my determination of location we were moving to and date changes. Packers were on time and secured all antiques or few lose items so nothing arrived with damages. Truck driver phoned days in advance to confirm arrival time. He pleasantly unloaded truck carrying furniture up or down flights. I will hire them for every move as they are honest, knowledgeable and proud of their business. Thanks.
We have moved multiple times all over the country and never have we experienced such poor customer service. We received a low estimate so we decided to go with this company over a few others. After they packed items they added an additional $600 to our price. We paid it as they had all our furniture and we had no choice.
I asked to be reinbursed for the additional cost as they did not bring the appliances and they said no. Items arrived broken, I didn't claim them.
We also had a quote with our washer and dryer to be included in the move.
Dick's moved our furniture in Fl, put in storage for 12 months, then moved to our new home in NC. I don't think we had one piece of furniture that was NOT damaged. We have missing items that were never delivered. They made a small settlement but were told we didn't buy moving insurance- however we were never told about moving insurance. Beware!
I would not even give this place a 1. That is way over what I would give them. When our stuff arrived lots of things were broken. Found out they had stepped on our totes to get to other things and smashed them. They broke antiques, they took pictures and never got in touch with us. Things are missing. Just know before you go with this company...BEWARE!!! Read your contract thoroughly. My parents are 87 and 89. They are used to trusting people and this company took advantage on them real bad!!! NEVER EVER GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!!
They did not bring the washer and dryer in error to our new home. When I called to discuss it they said it would be an additional $300 to transport it despite that it was on my estimate sheet.
I feel they are quite unethical in their practices and wouldn't recommend them. A realtor recommended them to us so I have made the community aware of how this company operates. I have never had this happen before and it was quite disappointing as I don't like to write negative reviews.
The packing and the move was actually really good The staff was easy to work with from that perspective and price was reasonable Follow up afterwards has been a very bad experience! 3 boxes were missing and 3 calls later it is still not resolved and I am still the one initiating the calls. Was told additionally that the team would pick up the empty boxes on a provided date and they were a no show. Made a great experience end on a sour note! Turned a 5 into a 2 star.
