We stayed for 3 nights in our 35 foot 5th wheel. It's a pretty big park with long and short term stays. We had trouble when we got there because it seemed the lady taking reservations was not all that familiar with the park and space sizes so they offered us a space too small for our set up. A little worry-some when they're really busy if they're making that mistake... But they were very gracious and had no problem offering another spot. However, with the size of our rig we were physically unable to reach the space due to the narrow roads, stop sign and neighboring rigs... We backed into a really nice space and they had no problem letting us keep it during our stay so I feel they definitely made up for the initial hiccups and were very nice. There was a pool, pool tables, pond, awesome laundry facility, ice and a big meeting/party room. We went kayaking but missed the manatee so we can't wait to go back. We will definitely be staying here again.
We come here every year during scalloping season with a huge group of people, several families who all bring their campers down! We absolutely love the place, everyone is friendly, pool is nice, club house is nice. We leave our camper for three months every summer with no worries. Nothing has ever been bothered or taken and it's such a relief to not have to worry about our camper, boat, chairs, grill etc when we leave! The kids ride bikes and play all day with no problems. Would definitely recommend this place! We've already reserved our spot again for next summer!
We stayed there this past weekend in our 33" Fifth Wheel and they located us in space D6. That area must be for transient RV travelers. We were without power 3 or 4 hours on Saturday in sweltering heat. Apparently that happens often and they didn't seem to concerned about it. This "resort", and I use that very loosely is nothing more than a big junked up trailer park and all that implies. If you are looking for something more like traveling RV'ers prefer, steer clear of this place.

This may have been a nice RV Park 20 years ago, but it seems to be turning into a park model community so no effort is spent maintaining sites for temporary residents.
We have camped with our 25 foot Airstream many times going back yeas ago when it was the "Turtle Creek" RV Campground. We enjoy the trees with shade, nice black top drives, modern club house, large RV lots and giant swimming pool! It is not possible to find a better RV campground than the Homosassa River RV Resort. We give it 5 stars!
It sucked !!!!
