Nice and friendly staff and super close to the boat ramp. Been camping here for years and it was nice to spoil ourselves to this percect lil lodge hotel
My windows where down and while I was pulling maps up on my phone and a lady approached my car asking me if there was something she help me with kinda rudely.
This place is horrible when it comes to staff/ owner attitudes.
I was pulled over in their parking lot for just a moment trying to pull maps up on my phone and I had my daughter in the car with me.
I can understand about people throwing garbage in your yard cause I personally deal with things like that on a daily bases and I wouldn't dare trash someone else's place because unlike most people I respect others. Which is something these people lack is respect others!
I stated I was just trying to get maps open on my phone then I'd be on my way.
August 2, 2014. My 2 girls and I spent the weekend at the Hotel, it was our first visit. The property is gorgeous, situated with a large grand oaks and green space the physical features of the property were impressive. Large living room type area at the entrance and an inviting kitchen layout with large/long table for group seating at meal times. Both girls 12 and 14 felt like they had discovered home away form home. Jeff the GM there is a chief, photographer and world class Innkeeper. Every step of the way he handled it with Ritz Carlton quality. He took our reservation, asked about our plans (scolloping), provided valuable local knowledge, even booking our dinner reservations when asked about suggestions there. The property hosts golfers mostly and I am excited about going back, SOON.
Well my daughter had a sticker on her finger and her hand was hanging out the window, this woman comes up to my car snatches the sticker off my daughters hand and throws it very rudely into my daughters lap and starts yelling at her not to throw stuff on her yard cause she has to clean it up. I apologized and just left.
Super comfortable. Beautiful wooden floors. Nice cold air and the staff are super friendly. The people in this area are so friendly and caring. The springs are Pristine and the fishing is great. We stayed here to get away from hurricane matthew. We will definitely come back when the weather is better. But staying here is so comfortable and relaxing!
My daughter looked at me afterwards and said momma I didn't throw it on the ground it was just playing with the sticker and she pulled off my hand. This woman, which I'm guessing was a staff/ owner,was so rude I really don't understand why anyone would want to go there at all if that's how they treat people.
